Bio
I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Finance at the Gies College of Business, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the same institution in August 2023.
I am an applied microeconomist with research interests in health, labor, and public economics. My current work explores: (i) the relationship between labor supply, transfer programs, and the health of individuals and their family members; (ii) how differences in place and income explain elderly health disparities in the US; and (iii) the economics of public healthcare provision in the context of developing countries.
I am on the 2025-2026 Job Market.
(My first name is pronounced similarly to the Spanish ‘Guillermo,’ but ending in ‘e.’)
